I combine legal experience with unique knowledge of the trade fair and event industry.

An interview with attorney Anna Arslan, who runs the law firm Arslan Legal, providing legal services to clients in the trade fair and event industry.

Attorney, why did you decide to leave Ptak Warsaw Expo after so many years?
Anna Arslan: I had been maturing this decision for a long time, as it was very difficult to leave something that I had built with such dedication over the last 5 years. However, a crisis is a time for change and verification, and I felt that I had already done what I needed to do at Ptak Warsaw Expo, and now it is time to move on and grow in my profession.

How would you summarize these five years of cooperation?
: I started working at Ptak Warsaw Expo as an in-house lawyer. Then I became the Director of the Legal Department, and later I focused entirely on trade fairs. I managed the sales support department, personally led some trade fair projects, handled the rental department working with external organizers, created the visitors' department and the foreign department, which within less than two years achieved great success and established cooperation not only with agents bringing foreign exhibitors but also with the largest international trade fair organizers. Finally, I became the General Director.

So, it was a time of intense work as a manager and lawyer, while simultaneously co-creating the trade fair offerings?
: The owners and management of Ptak Warsaw Expo gave me the opportunity to grow and gain experience in the industry, which I could learn from scratch. I learned a lot about business, running a company, managing people and projects, and most importantly, a lot about the trade fair industry. I started working at Ptak Warsaw Expo when the Expo was just established, almost 5 years ago. At that time, there were two or three trade fairs. In 2020, before the outbreak of the pandemic, almost 50 events were planned, and another 50 projects were in preparation. I am proud to have been a part of this. I believe that Poland has great potential in the trade fair and event industry and is a unique gateway to this part of Europe.

What are your plans for the future?
: After resigning from the position of General Director at Ptak Warsaw Expo, I am focusing on developing my law firm, Arslan Legal. However, I have not completely left the trade fair and event industry, as my firm provides legal services to clients in this sector.
I have exceptional knowledge of the trade fair and event industry and its various aspects, including legal ones. For many years, I have been preparing contracts, conducting negotiations at both national and international levels, which gives me a unique perspective on business, especially on trade fairs. I am constantly up to date with what is happening in Poland and around the world in this industry. I watch with interest how trade fairs and events are slowly coming back to life, and I am sure that 2021 will be a real boom in this regard. I would like to use my knowledge and legal experience to offer clients what they care about. The client presents a business goal, and the lawyer must find the most appropriate way to achieve that goal. As a specialist in this field and an independent lawyer running my own firm, I can offer comprehensive business-legal support for the trade fair industry. My firm also provides legal services for event agencies.
